Rediscover happiness with a Principled Wellbeing retreat

Adding to their popular programme of indulgent health retreats, the team at the Stoke by Nayland Country Lodges is proud to announce the latest opportunity to enjoy some me-time in the sumptuous surroundings of the resort.

The Principled Wellbeing retreat, run by Sue Pankiewicz and Vishal Avchar, is a holistic break which nurtures mind, body and soul, offering guests the chance to unwind and refresh in a luxurious lodge setting, located in the beautiful Suffolk Countryside. There are just 12 spaces available on this exclusive retreat – attendees will be able to take part in a life-enhancing training course and also make use of the excellent spa and fitness facilities.

This weekend retreat is ideal for anyone looking to gain life-changing insights into how their own mind works, by helping them to understand the subtleties of thoughts and feelings. The first retreat is being held from 26th to 27th January 2013.

During four life seminars (10 – 12am and 2 – 4.30pm on each full day of the retreat), facilitators Sue and Vishal will introduce a new understanding of our innate psychological wellbeing through stories, metaphor, examples and simple logic – and unlike some retreats, there is no pressure to share personal stories, so even shy guests will find the sessions to their liking. At these sessions, retreat

guests will simply sit, relax and listen, leaving their busy mindsets at the door, so they can unwind and enter a slower, more mindful state. The Principled Wellbeing approach invites attendees to open themselves up to a greater level of happiness and emotional stability.

On arrival, guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the penthouse suite, and have the chance to meet the facilitators – who will outline the course and explain what to expect from each of the sessions. Meals included in the cost of the course are a full English breakfast each morning, and a gourmet three-course dinner in the evening.

Because of the way the seminars have been scheduled, guests will have plenty of free time in which to enjoy the first-rate health and fitness facilities of the Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa which is just a short stroll away. The indoor pool, steam room, Jacuzzi, sauna and concept shower at Peake Spa & Fitness may all be used free of charge, and use of the state-of-the-art Technogym is also complimentary. At additional cost, guests may wish to indulge in one of the hotel’s luxurious spa treatments, which include exotic Hammam massages and body wraps, Rasoul mud therapy experiences, and Decléor facials and body treatments.

Experienced golfers might like to book a tee time, and enjoy one of the two Championship golf courses during their stay (or indeed both), while those looking for an introduction to the sport might consider booking a beginner’s golf lesson at the driving range – relevant fees will apply to these optional activities.

If it’s pure and simple relaxation that guests crave, the resort provides the perfect setting – guests might like to just enjoy the panoramic views from the Lodge’s spacious private balcony, try a spot of landscape painting or sketching, or take a gentle stroll around beautiful Constable Country, and this designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’.

For guests intending to share a double or a twin room, the cost of this exclusive retreat is £399 per person, while for guests who prefer a single room, the cost is £559.
